Distance Education Services

The Midwestern Library can mail current Midwestern students any circulating books from our Library. Students may request that printed books be shipped using USPS. Please reserve no more than five items at a time. Only MBTS owned books can be shipped. The student is responsible for paying shipping charges both ways. A charge will be placed on your account with the financial services office.

To Request a books to be shipped to your home address, Click on the 'Request Book to pickup in Joshua:

Then enter your name and MBTS ID# and in the special instructions, field indicate that you would like to have the book(s) mailed to your home.

Books and Articles from print journals owned by MBTS may be sent as an e-mail attachment to the student's campus e-mail. Students may also request sections of commentaries covering a passage of the Bible if MBTS owns a print copy. Due to copyright policy, we can send 10% of the total number of pages in a book.

To request a scan to be sent to your MBTS email address, please click the link 'Request a scan of this item' in Joshua and fill out the form with your name and email.

MBTS students may request any circulating books from the MOBIUS or Prospector catalog, including Midwestern books. These books can be sent to most libraries in the MOBIUS or Prospector system which includes Missouri, Kansas, Iowa, Oklahoma, Colorado, Wyoming, Texas, and Arkansas.

We also participate in the ATLA Reciprocal Borrowing Program in which theological libraries have agreed to grant check-out privileges to each other.  Both Midwestern Library and the library you wish to visit need advance notice in order to verify enrollment.
